This application has been designed to provide users with the ability to access and view the public data stored on their NFC-compliant EMV banking cards, such as credit cards. EMV, which stands for Europay, Mastercard, and Visa, is a globally recognized standard for interbank transactions that utilizes microchips to securely store and protect data.
In order to utilize this application, it is important to ensure that your card is NFC (Near Field Communication) compliant. This means that your card is equipped with a microchip which enables it to communicate with NFC-enabled devices, such as this application.
It should be noted that certain newer EMV cards may have had specific information removed, such as the cardholder's name and transaction history, in order to protect the privacy of the cardholder.
