This application has been designed to provide users with the ability to access and view the public data stored on their NFC-compliant EMV banking cards, such as credit cards. EMV, which stands for Europay, Mastercard, and Visa, is a globally recognized standard for interbank transactions that utilizes microchips to securely store and protect data.
In order to utilize this application, it is important to ensure that your card is NFC (Near Field Communication) compliant. This means that your card is equipped with a microchip which enables it to communicate with NFC-enabled devices, such as this application.
It should be noted that certain newer EMV cards may have had specific information removed, such as the cardholder's name and transaction history, in order to protect the privacy of the cardholder. It is important to clarify that this application is not intended for payment purposes and does not facilitate any financial transactions. However, it does offer in-app purchases that can be utilized for making donations.
For enhanced security measures, this application does not require an internet connection and the user must confirm their ownership of the credit card before accessing the application. By default, the credit card number is masked to provide further protection for the user's personal information.
